Mrs. Schelmay

           Beachwood Elementary School is proud to announce that Mrs. Deborah Schelmay has been selected as our Teacher of the Year for 2008-2009. Mrs. Schelmay attended Kean College, student taught at Walnut Street Elementary School, and was hired as a fifth grade teacher at East Dover Elementary School in 1988. 

            In September of 1995, Mrs. Schelmay was assigned to Beachwood Elementary School as our Gifted and Talented Teacher.  Throughout the past twenty years as an educator, Mrs. Schelmay has worked to improve the quality of instruction within all academic areas.  The following list highlights many of her accomplishments in education:
