Core four: At center with the check and surrounded by district administrators and Extraordinary Fitness personnel are, left to right, Jay Grunin of the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation; Superintendent David Healy of Toms River Regional Schools; Jeremy Grunin of JLGF; and Extraordinary Fitness owner Rudy Rosa. All were on hand at Extraordinary Fitness Jan. 28 for the presentation of $16,000 to Toms River Regional Schools, the result of Jeremy's successful 10-week fitness challenge.

Back in September, Jeremy Grunin—president of the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation and invaluable supporter of Toms River Regional Schools—decided to undertake a 10-week fitness challenge for his personal betterment and to raise money for the district’s health programs.

He succeeded on both fronts—dropping more than 20 pounds and fundraising $8,000, which he and the foundation matched dollar for dollar. On Monday Jan. 28, at Extraordinary Fitness in Toms River, where Jeremy trained throughout the fall as part of the growing fitness center's 10-Week Challenge, he presented district leaders with a $16,000 donation check for health programs at Toms River Regional Schools.

Jeremy’s teammates for the fitness challenge included Steve Green; Toms River School Board President Joseph Nardini; Joe Palmisano; Dr. Adam Repole; and Dr. Ron Rotem. Additional photos below.
