This week many district schools hosted an Hour of Code, a program designed to get students interested in computer programming.

At High School East, teacher Suzanne Signorelli orchestrated the event, which engaged students in a variety of coding and computer programming activities and games.

At High School South, teachers Mr. Miller and Mrs. Vahey enjoyed presenting to students during its annual Hour of Code. The school reports that the event brings awareness to both the computer programming classes and the importance of computer and programming literacy.

HSS Hour of Code

West Dover Elementary has participated in the Hour of Code event for the past few years, and as a result many students have become proficient with coding. The school does various coding activities throughout the year, even with students as young as kindergarten. West Dover students have earned certificates this week for their participation in the Hour of Code event, which they proudly display at home and at school.
