SB Coloring Contest

The top place winners of the Silverton Fire Company's coloring contest display their artwork with Silver Bay Principal Mike DeVita and a volunteer from the fire company.

Grand Prize Winner Rode to School in a Fire Truck!

The Silverton Fire Company asked students at Silver Bay Elementary to participate in their coloring contest as part of National Fire Prevention Week.

The grand prize winner of the coloring contest arrived at school in the front seat of a fire truck! Additional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were picked from each grade level. As the grand prize winner arrived at school, the entire school was outside to cheer and greet her.

The Silver Bay's community partnership with the Silverton Fire Company continues to thrive and the fire company has provided the school's students with many worthwhile learning experiences.  In addition to the coloring contest, a fire truck visited the school for kindergarten and 1st graders to explore and second graders took a trip to the firehouse for a tour.
