Toms River HS East National Honor Society
PURPOSE
The Raider Chapter of the National Honor Society is designated to honor students who have distinguished themselves in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership and who possess a high moral character. The Honor Society provides its members as tutors for the students at East who need additional help in academic classes. Additionally, the membership is engaged in a variety of education and leadership projects throughout the school year.
HOW TO GET IN
Students may apply to the Honor Society at the end of their junior year if they meet the eligibility requirements. Students may also apply at the beginning of their senior year if they meet the eligibility requirements. Students will be notified of their eligibility through their guidance counselor or by the means of a list posted in guidance. Students will attend a meeting and recieve a portfolio that outlines the eligibility standards and procedures for selection. The process will be clarified for students and deadlines will be set.
