CLUB NEWS


FCCLA is sponsoring a huge Food Drive for Ocean County Hunger Relief.  We would like to feed 400 families here in Toms River that are in need of food.  Please see the flyers that are posted in the halls and in your homeroom for items that are needed.  Please bring your items to E08 with your HR number and your HR teacher's name on the bags by Oct. 17th.  We will also be collecting food at all the home football games.  We would like to see all of the food delivered to O.C. Hunger Relief before Thanksgiving.  The homeroom that donates the most food will receive a Bagel Breakfast from FCCLA in November

 

Attention All Student Council Members:  Our 1st general meeting is TOMORROW in N08 right after school.  All class officers, representatives and associate members should attend.  This is especially important to newly elected FRESHMEN.

 

If anyone would like to send a Raider Gram to any of your favorite Raiders, please come to the Main Office to write your message and attach $1 to it and put it in the Raider Gram mailbox. ( Mr. Taylor)

 

HSE Chorus is sponsoring a Clothing Drive till the end of the month.  Bring in any unwanted usable clothes in a large plastic bag to the Chorus Room.  Thank you for your donations. (Mrs. DeLucci)

 

Attention All Students: Are you interested in becoming a HSE Ambassador?  You must be a 10th, 11th of 12th grader.  Applications are available in the Main Office.  Deadline for applications is Oct. 3rd.  (Mr. Trumble)

 

Hola Amigos!  The Spanish Club will be holding a brief meeting TODAY in S22 after school.  We will be discussing Cuisine Night and voting for officers.  New members are welcome to attend.  See Srta. Papetti for details.

 

The Computer Science Club will have their first meeting on Thurs., Oct 2nd in E7A after school.  The Club meets the first and third Thurs. of every month.  New members are invited to join and all members are asked to attend.  (Mrs. Signorelli)

 

Interested in a career in business?  Join FBLA.  The first meeting will be held in W10 on Wed., Oct. 1st at 1:50.  New members are welcome.  Election of officers will be held.  (Mrs. Drackwicz)

 

Attention All Juniors and Seniors interested in participating in Powder Puff:  If you are planning on being involved as a player, coach or cheerleader, you must have all of your paperwork and money turned in TODAY.  Seniors must hand in paperwork to Mrs. O'Donnell or Ms. Franco and juniors must hand in their paperwork to Mrs. Koenigstein.  Late money and forms will not be accepted.  All Seniors participating MUST attend a very brief informational meeting after school on Thurs, Oct. 2nd in the Student Center.  See Mrs. O'Donnell or Ms. Franco if you have questions.  All Juniors participating MUST attend a very brief informational meeting after school on Fri, Oct 3rd in the Student Center.  See Ms. Cardone or Mrs. Koenigstein with questions.

 

There will be a MANDATORY Sophomore Class meeting TOMORROW in W33 after school.  All members MUST attend.  (Mrs. Daniel)

 

From now through Fri, Oct 10th, the Interact Club is holding its 5th annual collection of used or unwanted eyeglasses.  Donations will be prescription matched and given to needy people in third world countries.  Donations will be accepted in W21 each morning or Mr. Peck or any Interact member at any time during the day. 

 

From now through Fri, Oct 10th, the Key Club is holding its 3rd annual Halloween Costume Drive.  Go through your house and find all of those old Halloween costumes and bring them in!  Donations will be accepted in W21 each morning or Mr. Peck or any Key Club member at any time throughout the day.
