The Raider Readout is the High School East Student Newspaper. Its staff is the Journalism II Class. In order to take Journalism II and participate in the production of The Raider Readout, a student must successfully complete Journalism I. Independent study in Journalism is also available for students who successfully complete Journalism II. Application forms for Independent Study are available in Guidance. Students who want to volunteer to be newspaper photographers, artist or cartoonist should apply to the advisor. 
 

The Galleon

Producing the yearbook is a yearlong project. The Galleon Staff is composed of students from grade levels 9-12 whose job is to create a publication that is a refection of the entire school. The staff aims at effective use of photojournalism to tell the history of a school year as it highlights memories and special events.
 


                                            Reflections
High School East’s literary magazine is published annually and appears in the spring. Reflections features student poetry, stories, and essays as wells as artwork, illustrations, photography and calligraphy. All students are welcome to submit material for consideration in the magazine. Deadlines and format specifications for submissions will be announced during the school year.
