Happy Arbor Day!
North Dover Elementary School celebrated Arbor Day led by the 5th grade students. Following the Pledge of Allegiance and Star Spangled Banner, the history of Arbor Day and poems were shared. A Red Crape Myrtle tree from the Ocean County Shade Commission was planted in a garden in the front of the school. [more info]

Pop-up Makerspace at IN
Sue Milo’s students at Intermediate North had fun at their first Pop-up Makerspace, they explored STEAM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) using five problem based learning activities. The woven tongue depressor cobra stored potential energy and when everyone released their hands it was converted to kinetic energy and exploded up in the air.

Earth Day at West Dover
West Dover's 4th grade gardening club members and the 5th grade students participated in an Earth Day activity. The students removed trash that accumulated on school grounds over the course of the year. Students learned about Recycling, Waste Management, and participated in other Earth Day related lessons.
