STEAM Dream Activity Center

North Dover Elementary School used a $10,000 OceanFirst Foundation grant to transform an underutilized and outdated technology lab into a "STEAM Dream Activity Center" for students in grades K-5. The new center creates an environment where students can explore different areas of STEAM- science, technology, engineering, fine arts, and math. Four work stations: A STEAM Lab, Drama Dream Center, Art Studio, and Music Studio are equipped with supplies, tools, and flexible seating. After students are introduced to each station, they are encouraged to explore the materials. They take that knowledge and create new ideas and inventions based on both teacher and student-driven challenges. "The STEAM Dream Activity Center" is the perfect place for new educational opportunities in which students' interests can drive their educational experiences, a place where self expression and creativity have no bounds.
