He/she must
have been
a student
athlete at one of the three Toms River high schools and must
have demonstrated individual or team sports ability which
brought recognition, acclaim, and civic pride to Toms River.
He/she must
have been specially recognized for their athletic talent
and/or contributions. Examples include: Olympian,
All-American, National Champion, Professional Athlete,
All-State, All-County, Multi-Sport Champion, Winning Record,
Long Service Record, “Best Team”.
He/she must
have at least ten years elapsed time since high school
participation.
He/she will
normally be a Toms River high school graduate, but Toms River
community members who have contributed to the athletic success
of Toms River through their volunteer efforts may also be
nominated.
