HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY!

Special guests, teachers, and students at South Toms River Elementary School celebrated the school's 25th anniversary. Guest speakers included a South Toms River councilman, past principal Jack Pallen, and Board of Education Vice President Jamie Henninger. Band students performed for everyone and students from each grade level put something that they liked best about their classroom/grade in a treasure chest that will be opened in the year 2020.
 


Mr. Cheek and STR students painted this mural in honor of the school's 25th anniversary.


Principal Mrs. Matus welcomed students and guests to the special celebration.


Honored guests were introduced and thanked for their contributions to STRE.


South Toms River councilman spoke to students about how special their school is.


BOE VP Jamie Henninger talked about the importance of STRE to the community.  


Past principal Jack Pallen spoke about his days at the school with fondness.


Two teachers who have been at STRE all 25 years read a memorable poem about the school.


Students presented something that they liked best about the school/their grade that was put in a treasure chest to be opened in 2020.
