Library Donation by the The Sai Bhajan Group

 

Tom Baxter was honored at the Board of Education meeting by the New Jersey School Boards Association for his twenty years of service as a Toms River Regional board member. Mr. Baxter, first elected in 1988, is currently serving his twenty-first year in this volunteer position.
 

The Board of Education recognized the winners of the 2009 Special Education Poster Contest at the May meeting. This year's theme was "A Friend Like Me." The contest is sponsored by the Special Education Parent/Teacher Association. Mr. Roselli and Mrs. Moss expressed their appreciation for the group's hard work and dedication to students.
 

The Sai Bhajan Group presented a check for $500.00 and a donation of books to promote diversity and to share the beauty of the Indian culture.  The books include copies of India Unveiled for our middle schools libraries and Finder's Keeper's for our elementary
school libraries.

Mr. Ritacco addresses the 2008-2009 Teachers of the Year at the Poland Spring Arena May 22, 2009.

Washington Street Elementary had a special visitor on May 21, 2009...a bald eagle! The Hooper Avenue Elementary School Band and String Ensemble gave its annual Spring concert to students, faculty, and parents.
