Sadly, Joe passed away on May 19th, but his parents came to HSE as Joe was publicly honored and remembered as HSE's "most caring Raider".

Hooper Avenue Elementary awarded eleven administrative scholarships, as well as two PTO scholarships, to former Hooper Huskies who are graduating from high school this year. Best of lick in their future endeavors to all Toms River high school seniors!

Students from Pine Beach Elementary School took part in a Fitness Fun Day arranged by Mr. Degnan, the Physical Education teacher. The day was filled with action packed events that showed students alternative ways to exercise. Having fun, sportsmanship, and teamwork were the focus of the day.

Congratulations to the High School North Mariners baseball team! The team earned the title of Group IV South Jersey State Champions for the second consecutive year.

Students in East Dover Elementary's Omni Class studied squids as a part of their 'Legends of the Sea' annual theme.

Mrs. Mabie's fourth and fifth grade G&T students from Pine Beach Elementary School are studying "Ocean Exploration". Rutgers University invited classrooms to take part in their exciting project. The students at Rutgers built an underwater robotic glider, called RU-27 to journey across the Atlantic Ocean.

One of the Intermediate North 7th grade cycles, Cycle 71, collected food for the Salvation Army. Pictured are Ms. Lange, Mrs. Fronzak, Mrs. Curely, Councilman Kubiel, Captain Lorie from the Salvation Army, Mrs. Chabuel and Ms. Bolcato.

Beachwood's Got Talent! The fifth grade students at Beachwood Elementary showcased their talents on June 11, 2009. The singing, dancing, rock music, and other various talents were enjoyed by all. Even some of the faculty participated! Thanks to the Beachwood community, the Student Council at Beachwood Elementary collected nearly 500 pounds of pet food and supplies for the Popcorn Park Zoo!
