Welcome to Silver Bay Elementary School
Mr. Michael DeVita, Principal
The philosophy and mission here at Silver Bay has always been child-centered. Our goal is to provide our students with a quality education that incorporates real life experiences. This will serve as a solid foundation for them to be successful at the next level of their formal education. We strive to enable them to be problem solvers and caring individuals, who will find ways to volunteer and aid the community they live in.
Silver Bay Elementary is committed to promoting community service. We encourage our students to participate in beautification programs for our school, Student Buddy programs run by our guidance counselor, food drives, used clothing swaps, gifts and visits to nursing homes, tributes to veterans including decorating local grave yards yearly.
Our students engage in fund raisers for various charities such as the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes, and the American Cancer Society. All these activities strengthen the need to look beyond oneself and play an active role in the community.
Our motto is: “Silver Bay, Where Pride Makes a Difference” and our students and faculty pledge community pride and commitment to our school. As a community school, Silver Bay Elementary serves all the people of Toms River and we believe it is everyone’s job to keep our school the pride of the community.
