have fun reading!
First School is a valuable website which provides great
craft ideas based on phonics and seasonal themes.
Alphabet-Soup will provide you with handwriting practice materials to print out.
Math:
EM Games is a great site which reinforces our district's
Everyday Math program. You will need a specific log
in name and password.

you can type in your address or any from around the world!

This site is the Virtual Museum of Canada. Click on VMC Exhibits then select an area you'd like to check out. You'll find dozens of virtual exhibits from around the world with an emphasis on Canadian interests, of course.

Search Engines
"Kid's World" has many subjects with many topics in each category. Specifically there are great math and weather related sites. One math site is called "Clever Games for Clever People". There were a number of easy to play games requiring minimal supplies. One weather site listed was "The Weather Dude." This is a worthwhile resource.
Family Education is another great site to check. Pick a grade cluster, then 'school', then look at the choices. One specific activity found in the second grade science collection is called, "Rain in a Bag." There are many other topics that are great so, check them out!
