Task:
Grade 6 studies Egyptian history during the year. In art we will focus on Egyptian Iewelry, in particular, the jeweled collar, used to adorn their otherwise plain, linen clothing.

1. Each child will receive oak tag and stencils to create the basic shape of the collar. The stencils will help to divide the collar into sections. (If your class can use a compass well enough, the stencils are not necessary).

2. Each row on the collar will have a different, repetitive design. Colors may or may not be limited but red, turquoise, blue, gold, and black should be used primarily.

3. Glitter, beads, sequins etc. are added after all coloring is completed.
