·     TO CRITIQUE THEIR OWN WORK (1.4)

BROWN CRAFT PAPER (SIZE IS YOUR CHOICE)

MARKERS

TEMPERA PAINT

BRUSHES

 

PROCEDURES:

 

1.     INTRODUCTION WITH VISUALS ON ABORIGINAL ART AS

COMMUNICATION AND STORY-TELLING (DREAMINGS). DISCUSS

CHARACTERISTICS OF BARK PAINTING SUCH AS ANIMALS AS THE

MAIN THEME, A BORDER DESIGN AND INTRICATELY DESIGNED

BACKGROUNDS.

2.     STUDENTS WILL DRAW A ROUGH COPY OF AN ANIMAL NATIVE OF AUSTRALIA.

3.     TRANSFER DESIGNS TO THE CRAFT PAPER.

4.    USING MARKER CREATE A BORDER DESIGN AND A PATTERN DESIGN INSIDE THE ANIMAL.

5.    USING TEMPERA PAINT CREATE A PATTERN DESIGN IN THE BACKGROUND.

 

EVALUATION

 

DISPLAY ALL WORK AND DISCUSS REFLECTIONS OF ABORIGINAL ART AND ELEMENTS OF DESIGN IN THE PIECES.
