Standards

During the school year, general music students will do research using the internet on the life and work of a composer(s) of their choice and write a report(s) based on their research. They will be expected to type and include graphics in their report using a computer. Students' will also regularly be given reading assignments in different topics in music from selected websites during the school year. They will also use music websites which help reinforce musical  knowledge and skills which are being addressed in music classes. A synthesizer will be used in the school band as well as a student created powerpoint presentation which will accompany the Spring Concert.
