Technology In-service Course Descriptions The Toms River Regional Schools Technology Institute is offering enrichment courses to faculty and staff members who wish to improve their technology competencies. These courses are specifically designed to meet the needs of faculty and staff members of the Toms River Regional School District. Descriptions of District sponsored training courses can be found below. Microsoft Word XP I Microsoft
Word XP I is designed to provide participants with numerous hands on activities
that will enable them to become proficient in the use of Microsoft Word XP.
Upon completion of this course attendees will have the skills necessary to
produce professional-looking publications for use in their classrooms. Microsoft Word XP II
The Microsoft Word XP II is designed for
educators proficient in the use of Microsoft Word XP. Numerous activities will
provide participants with the resources to create documents utilizing the
advanced features of the Microsoft Word XP program. Microsoft Excel XP I
Microsoft Excel XP I is
designed to provide participants with practical hands on exercises using the
spreadsheet to organize, calculate, and analyze data. Participants will develop
spreadsheets for a variety of useful tasks. Microsoft PowerPoint XP I
Microsoft PowerPoint XP I provides participants
with the means to create and display sets of slides that combine text with drawn
objects, clipart, photos, sound, video and animated special effects to produce
educationally sound presentations for the classroom. All participants will
prepare a presentation that will be used in their classroom. Microsoft Access XP I Microsoft
Access XP is designed to provide participants with numerous hands on activities
that will enable them to become proficient in the use of Microsoft Access XP.
Upon completion of this course participants will have the skills necessary to
produce a database and use it their classrooms.
