Star Student Program

            Respectful
              Students

During the 1998-1999 school year, West Dover implemented a program to honor their students.  The star student program is based on the acronym STARS.

Each month, for grades 2 thru 5, up to three students from each class may be selected as Star Students.  They have their names read during the morning announcements and Mr. Pallen and Mrs. Dravis give each star student a special button to wear and a magnetic bumper sticker.  A table decorated with center pieces and tablecloths helps acknowledge their achievement when they attend Lunch with Mr. Pallen at the beginning of the month..

First Grades can earn their class stars by cooperating. The class must earn their stars by working together. After earning a set amount, the class receives a special treat.
