  • Winter Coat Drive Springs Forth With Rockin' Results

    April 15, 2025- Every winter, Shirely Boney's Intermediate East homeroom coordinates a coat and hat drive to help those in need. This season they collected 20 huge bags filled with hoodies, gloves, hats, and coats, and donated them to the school's Rock the Closet as well as Seeds of Service in Brick, which provides relief for those in need.

    March 28, 2025- A cohort of career professionals including scientists, educators, military personnel, entrepreneurs, writers and more visited Silver Bay Elementary School yesterday afternoon to chat with fourth and fifth graders about their career paths, lives, and inspirations.

    March 26, 2025- The district is partnering with Fair Funding For Students (FFFS) NJ to host a large-scale gift auction June 5 at RWJBarnabas Health Arena.

    March 24, 2025- High School South baseball coach Ken Frank—who forged a legendary career at the school worthy of documentary treatment—was inducted into the NJSIAA Hall of Fame this past Saturday evening.

    March 14, 2025- March 10 through 12, 48 district high schoolers—led by advisors (left) Janine Hatton (High School East), Robert Gold (South), and Jamie Tesoro (North)—attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference, the largest ever, made up of more than 4,000 students.

    March 10, 2025- At its Battle of the Classes assembly March 7, High School North shared some exciting news.Music teacher Jon Grill announced that Dana Oleksy has been named a 2025 Teacher Who Rocks.

    Feb. 21, 2025- It was the inaugural Masked Singer: Teacher Edition event at High School East yesterday evening, and it was a hoot.Hosted by Matt Cicalese with help from Jess Lowe, the competition pitted a handful of anonymous Raider staff members against each other to determine who had the best singing skills and stage presence.

    Nov. 12, 2024-- The High School East girls soccer team is the recipient of the 2024 Ocean County Sportsmanship Award. The honor, voted on by the Soccer Referee's Association, goes to individuals or teams that compete with respect, integrity, and goodwill, and who go above and beyond to display good character.

On May 2, 2008, the Family Leave Insurance (FLI) was signed into law effective July 1, 2009. Please note that on May 15, 2019, the State changed their procedure to file. The school system no longer needs to submit information at the time of your application. In order to obtain a claim form, please visit the NJ Department of Labor's website at www.nj.gov/labor. Once you are directed to the site, click on the Family Leave Insurance tab. At this point you have the choice to submit your claim online or print out the application and submit it to the State.
