May 22, 2024-- The district's Unified Sports-sponsored series of athletic events at the RWJBarnabas Health Field of Dreams continued yesterday with the Battle of Bay Avenue. Students from High School East competed in a friendly but competitive game of kickball at the complex. The backdrop was a picture-perfect day, cheer squads, bands, and a raucous and supportive crowd ... the ideal setting for the drama of Raiders v. Mariners. Even the school's ace photographers competed, with North's Jim Patten (his photo above; his photos below tagged with "JP") battling East's Allison Goodwin (right; below with "AG") to a draw, with both providing incredible shots.
