Jan. 23, 2025- Despite the frigid temperatures, families showed they were ALL IN and packed the house for the district's annual ESL Family BINGO Night Jan. 21.

This year the event featured a special awards ceremony for students who have graduated from the ESL program in the past year.

"This is a huge accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated," said ESL Coordinator Sara McNerny.

Graduation from ESL requires reaching English Language Proficiency (ELP) on WIDA ACCESS, the annual state-mandated assessment.

"We are so proud of you all," McNerny said during the event as she announced the program's grads. "What a great way to show that you are ALL IN!"

Students were encouraged to show their commitment to the ALL IN mindset by adding their names and art to the displays at the event. Families made an ALL IN snack mix to enjoy while playing BINGO, and plenty of prizes were doled out.

"It's always a wonderful night with our families and ESL staff," said McNerny, "and there were many happy winners tonight."
