Nov. 12, 2025- This month, students enrolled in Intermediate South's mentor program had the exciting opportunity to meet with representatives from the pathology and pharmacology departments at Community Medical Center.
CMC mentors shared valuable insights into their specialties and highlighted the important roles these departments play in patient care. Students also learned about the wide variety of career paths available—including many that do not require a four-year degree or advanced schooling.
The session included a PowerPoint presentation, hands-on activities, and gift bags for students, giving them a chance to explore the skills used in these fields in an interactive way.
"It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to discover new interests and gain a deeper understanding of future options in the medical field!" said Int. South seventh-grade teacher Kim Peto.
