March 31, 2026- Intermediate North was, said Principal Lynn Fronzak, "honored to welcome representatives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office for an impactful presentation focused on student safety in today’s digital world."
Students learned about the very real risks that come with social media and online interaction — how easily strangers can target young people, and how oversharing personal information like location or activities can create vulnerability without proper privacy settings. The discussion also addressed the serious consequences of using social platforms to bully, harass, or embarrass others.
One of the most powerful messages shared was simple but important: pause and think before posting. Whether it’s a comment, photo, or video, once something is shared online, it can live forever.
The key takeaways for students were clear—stay safe, be mindful, and always choose kindness.
"We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, whose commitment to educating and protecting our students is truly appreciated," said Fronzak.
OCPO agent Michael Colwell and OCPO sexual assault nurse examiner coordinator Donna Velardi (top right) led the presentation and took time to engage with and empower students.
"Together," Fronzak added, "we are helping our students make smart, safe, and respectful choices both online and offline."
