June 21, 2020-- High School East 2007 graduate Phil Shore has published a book, his first, about Major League Lacrosse.
Major League Life: Why Major League Lacrosse Players Coaches and Fans Share a Passion for a League that Often Goes Overlooked goes behind the scenes of the six MLL teams during the 2019 season and explores why the players, coaches, and fans care so much about a league not many people even know about. It shares the passion and dedication players have for their craft even though they all need to hold careers in others fields in order to make ends meet.
"Just like the stories of players, coaches, and super fans I share, writing this book was my version of pursuing a passion and a dream," said Shore, who coached boys lacrosse at HSE for three years before relocating to Virginia. "Even though not many took the time to write about lacrosse before, and even though it was turned down by several publishers, I put in the work necessary to see my vision become a reality, and it's very exciting. Even if you aren't a lacrosse fan, I shared stories of grit, dedication, and passion that I think everyone can relate to."
Major League Life is available on Amazon.
