District Takes Part in Rally to Save Toms River | Toms River Regional School District

December 10, 2019 -- Thousands of students, teachers, parents, administrators, and community members headed to Trenton for the Rally to Save Toms River. High School students loaded onto 30 buses and parents in their cars to demand that Governor Murphy restore the district's state aid funding and to protest the state Department of Education's response to the district's application for emergency funding.

Superintendent Healy spoke to various news outlets and reporters.

Toms River Mayor-Elect Mo Hill joined in on the rally to save the future of Toms River.

TRPD Chief Mitch Little supported the district at the rally and has been an outspoken opponent of the reduction in school aid.

Citta students did the wave with "hand letters" to show Governor Murphy that our school district's future is in his hands. The letters will be sent to the governor when the Toms River Schools community rallies in Trenton for fair funding.
