Sept. 11, 2025- Flags throughout Toms River Regional Schools are at half mast today, Sept. 11, 2025, on the 24-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks that killed almost 3,000 Americans in 2001.

In addition to each school's flag being lowered, hundreds of smaller flags line the walkways and perimeters of school grounds throughout the district.

September 11 remains a day we here in greater Toms River— and Americans throughout the country— will never forget.

High School South welcomed guest speaker Jim Wardle— a 9/11 survivor— who shared his powerful firsthand account with history classes today. Wardle was in the North Tower of the World Trade Center when the plane struck the building.

At High School North, Principal Ed Keller led students in the school’s annual outdoor remembrance ceremony.
