Presbyterian Church of Toms River will provide to those in need
Dec. 17, 2025
- Administrative staff working out of the offices at 1144 Hooper Avenue have been celebrating the holiday season with various themes in the days leading up to break — gingerbread houses, holiday hats, and candy cane-themed shuffleboard, to name a few. Yesterday's activity, however, took on an extra special meaning. Staff were asked to bring in unwrapped toys and/or shelf-stable food to donate to the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, which will in turn provide the donations to children and families in need throughout the area. And like they did when it came to
warm winter coats
, staff members
really
came through. Bags upon bags upon bags of toys were collected, along with dozens of food items. And despite Superintendent Mike Citta’s winter-ready, tailor-cut green fit, he and his staff — left to right: Geralyn Gallucci, Laurie Reilly, and Susan Nelson, the architects of the day's theme — were anything but the Grinch on this day.
