Jan. 24, 2024-- High School South's varsity cheerleading team, including coaches Katie Stein and Charlene Wallace, gave a formal farewell to their teammate, Mathilda Walendy, a German exchange student who joined them for the 2023-2024 football and basketball seasons. Yesterday was her last South basketball game, as Mathilda returns home on Friday to her family in Germany.

"She will be missed dearly by her team and coaches," said Stein.
