Jan. 28, 2021-- The chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at High School North is making quite a name for itself.

In spring of 2020, the team was recognized as winners at the FBLA-PBL State Leadership Conference. Two months later, HSN FBLA member Ishan Shah earned second place in the Introduction to Financial Math category at the 2020 FBLA-PBL National Leadership Experience (NLE).

And now, the team walks away as big winners in this year's FBLA Regional Competitive Events.

"I am so proud of our members and their commitment to the mission of the FBLA-- especially during these challenging times-- as well as the personal and academic growth they've shown along the way," said HSN FBLA Advisor Jamie Tesoro.

"Congratulations to FBLA Advisor, Ms. Jamie Tesoro, our FBLA members as well as the winners of this year's Regional Competitive Events," said HSN Principal Ed Keller. "We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of our FBLA chapter at High School North!"

The winners are:

  • Ishan Shah, junior - 2nd Place, Business Calculations
  • Rutva Shah, junior - 1st Place, Computer Applications
  • Aryan Kumar, junior - 3rd Place, Computer Applications
  • Jena Bhandari, junior - 1st Place, Health Care Administration
