Jan. 30. 2026- The first mention in the blurb below Sharif Calfee's High School East 1992 yearbook photo (above) is "successful naval officer." That dream and aspiration is a reality, to say the least. Four years after graduating high school, Calfee left the U.S. Naval Academy in '96 with a B.S. in computer science, and his career was off and running. It recently culminated with a promotion to Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy and command of U.S. Naval Forces in Korea.

A big deal? You bet. In fact, we'll let the widespread coverage of Calfee's promotion do the honors, as we offer a hearty salute to the former Raider and current Rear Admiral who is admirably serving his country. Congratulations, and thank you, Rear Adm. Sharif H. Calfee!
