Jan. 12, 2025- The district's Junior ROTC Academy's Battalion Drill Team wrapped up its drill season with an outstanding performance at the final competition Saturday held at Central Regional High School.

The LET 1 Squads (first-year cadets) showed "incredible focus and teamwork," according to JROTC leaders, and earned second place overall with a trophy to prove it. The squads were led by C/PVT Georgette Paye and C/PVT Nikoll Andrade, whose leadership helped set the tone for a fantastic showing.

Not to be outdone, the Mixed LET-Level Unarmed Squad, led by C/CPT Gianna Vargas, delivered a sharp and disciplined routine, securing an impressive third place overall finish.

Capping off an amazing day, the Mariner Color Guard, led by C/LTC Mariner Battalion Commander Brian Eliezer, performed with pride and precision and earned a tie for second place overall.

"These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and spirit of our cadets," said Junior ROTC Sergeant James Long, "as well as the tremendous support received from the district and the High School North administration. Congratulations to everyone who competed and supported the team—what an incredible way to close out the season!"
