TRRS Elementary Summer Learning Acceleration Program is underway! The program is designed to accelerate students’ academic growth in the areas of English language arts and mathematics. In English language arts, elementary students will build their phonological awareness while building on background knowledge and vocabulary to enhance comprehension skills. In mathematics, students will have the opportunity to develop, understand and deepen prerequisite skills in preparation for the following school year. (7/26/21)

Mrs. Riccardi's and Mrs. Maric's Forensic Science class had two very interesting "guests" come to visit at High School North. The Ocean County Sheriff's Department showcased Bear, the German shepherd, and Fiona, the bloodhound, to demonstrate how they use their keen sense of smell to help locate explosives, drugs, and even humans! We are the only county in the state who continues to employ the faithful Bloodhound in essential police work. (5/21/21)

High School North Media Specialist Karla Ivarson was a featured guest speaker in Kyle Seiverd's biology class. Her talk, titled "19th Century Bison Eradication on the Great Plains" bridged science and history curriculums by focusing on how bison were natural resources used for profit and the persecution of Native Americans. Ms. Ivarson, a former history teacher, also addressed Native American customs and false cultural stereotypes. (11/24/20)
District computer technician Rob Pukash registers one of about two thousand new Chromebooks from the hallways of High School North. The new devices are thanks to CARES Act funding as well as direct district purchasing, and will be assigned to students for the duration of their academic career.
