Jan. 15, 2025- Michael Mastropierro's days at Toms River Regional Schools date all the way back to preschool at North Dover Elementary. Now a High School North senior just months from graduation, Michael has clearly not forgotten about those days as a Pirate.

This week, he returned to his elementary alma mater, and did so bearing gifts. As part of his project to become an Eagle Scout, Michael constructed two sensory tables specifically designed for preschoolers with special needs. The timing could not be better, since North Dover Elementary School welcomed the district's preschool program that used to be hosted at 1144 Hooper at the beginning of this school year.

"Sensory tables provide a vital hands-on environment where preschoolers develop essential fine-motor skills, cognitive problem-solving abilities, and social cooperation through tactile exploration and open-ended play," said NDE Principal Colleen McGrath. "The benefits are endless, and we are so appreciative to be able to use them."

Sensory supplies are stacked on the new tables which will help maximize their impact on North Dover students.

The school posted the news on its Instagram account.

"We are so proud of Michael for returning to support our youngest learners through service, creativity, and leadership," they wrote.

And we concur. This burgeoning Eagle Scout has proven he is ALL IN when it comes to giving back to his community and helping others ... way to go, Michael!
