Her Books Freely Available at Ocean County Library

March 18, 2021-- As planned, New York Times best-selling author Rachel Ignotofsky will kick off NEA Big Read and cap off Women's History Month with a special guest appearance for Toms River Regional Schools students March 25 at 1 p.m. Anyone interested in participating in this fun and free event can access the live stream on the district's YouTube channel.

To support this event, the district's NEA Big Read primary partner, Ocean County Library, has made Rachel's immensely popular books freely available.

The e-book versions of the following are now available on OCL's OverDrive:

  • The Wondrous Workings of Planet Earth
  • Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World
  • What’s Inside a Flower

Audio versions of the following are also available on Hoopla:

  • The Wondrous Workings of Planet Earth
  • Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World
  • Women in Sports

According to OCL, both the ebook and audio versions are simultaneous checkouts, and there will be no holds or wait for the books. These resources are freely available for anyone with an Ocean County Library card. Don't have an OCL library card? Get one quickly and easily by clicking here.
