May 11, 2026 -- During Staff Appreciation Week at Silver Bay, staff members tried their luck at a variety of raffles and participated in a game dubbed "Have You Seen My Seagull?"  It was the school's way of saying thanks to their dedicated staff and having a little fun as the end of the school year nears.

Each staff member received three raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes of their choice. Prizes were graciously donated by: Club Pilates, The River Lady, Turning Point Cafe, Fantasy Island, Bey Lea Golf Course, Coronato's Kitchen, Johnny G's, Silver Bay Bagels, Maruca's Tomato Pies, Back Nine, Gio's Deli, Grumpy's Tackle, The Backstop, Cordi's Italian Gourmet, Yellow Brick Road Ice Cream Shop, Brooklyn Bistro, 37 Eats Kitchen & Bar, Salty's Ice Cream, Urban Air, and Monster Mini Golf. 

The "Have You Seen My Seagull?" challenge had staff members on the hunt for five hidden seagulls during the school day.  Winners of the challenge were awarded Burger 25 gift cards.
