Silver Bay Vest A Cop campaign 2024

At Silver Bay Elementary School, safeties gathered 'round to celebrate the school community's success on behalf of the 2024 Vest-A-Cop campaign (above). And at the official Vest-A-Cop fundraiser held Sept. 30 in Downtown Toms River, district administrators joined elementary school supervisors and principals—including a blue-haired Matthew Gray, whose dye job was a promise kept for his school’s contributions—to celebrate the occasion (right). More below.

District schools continued their support of the annual Vest-A-Cop campaign in 2024, and raised funds to support vests for officers serving the Toms River, Beachwood, South Toms River, and Pine Beach police departments. Whether it was Officer Anthony accepting a donation from Beachwood Elementary (left), Officer Crowley being hand a check from Walnut Principal Richard Demarco (above), or similar happy exchanges at several other schools (below), there was no doubt that Toms River Regional Schools came through again in support of those who serve and protect our communities and students.

Washington Street hosted a pajama day fundraiser for Vest-A-Cop Sept. 27, for which students had the chance to wear pajamas with a $1 donation to the cause. The fundraiser was, of course, followed up with a Friday dance party. Because why not?
