Oct. 2, 2026- Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day, and schools are doing their part to show their gratitude.
At Intermediate South, for example, Seminoles in Service students took the opportunity to recognize the custodial staff and thank them for all they do each day.
Led by teacher Regina Feliz, students made chocolate-covered pretzels in an effort to make the day a little more special for the custodians who work hard to keep the school clean, safe, and running smoothly.
“Our custodians do so much for our school every day, and we wanted to make sure they knew how much we appreciate them,” said Assistant Principal Casey Daniel.
One Int. South student shared, “They are always helping us and taking care of our school. It was nice to be able to do something for them.”
High School East, meanwhile, shared a Facebook post (right) recognizing their valued custodial staff that included personal "fun facts" and hobbies and interests.
To the custodial staffs throughout the district: Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day, and thank you for all you do!
