November 13, 2025 -- It was quite a morning for students at East Dover Elementary School! They were thrilled to welcome the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit, who made an incredible landing right on school grounds.

The sight and sound of the helicopter landing was definitely a highlight, but the best part was the educational opportunity afterward. Students got to meet the dedicated troopers, pilots, and flight medics. They learned all about the helicopter's important role in public safety, disaster response, and search and rescue missions across New Jersey. It was a wonderful chance for students to ask questions and gain insight into these vital, high-flying careers.

A massive thank you to the New Jersey State Police and TRPD for sharing their time, expertise, and equipment with our school community. This event truly inspired our young learners!
