South Seniors Win Big at OCC Business Competition | Toms River Regional School District

Seventy percent of finalists rep HSS

April 27, 2026- At this point it's safe to say that, when it comes to business acumen, South students are going to swim.

Business Academy students at High School South stole the show once again at Ocean County College's annual Sink or Swim, a shark-tank style business competition.

Gabriella Migliori won first place and a prize of $3,000 after teaming with her brother Karsin for her business, Earrings by Bel.

Makayla Manzi and Addison Gioia (below) won second place and a prize of $2,000 for their business pitch and plan.

Maybe most incredible of all, a whopping seven teams from South finished in the Sink or Swim top ten.

Congratulations to the big winners and to all of High School South's Sink or Swim participants for representing their school, the Business Academy, and Toms River Regional Schools with pride and excellence. When it comes to competition, they mean business!
