Dec. 19, 2023: In early December, High School South Spirit Club members including Morgan Adams, Jordyn Lynch, Katie Dukett, Emma Stich, and Rob Pierson and Emma Stich went holiday shopping for the kids at the RWJBarnabas Health Children’s Specialized Hospital in Toms River, as well as adults at the Hampton Ridge Nursing Home. Funding for the shopping trip was made possible though the Toms River Education Association.

The physical gifts were wrapped and stored until yesterday, when those students visited both locations to not only deliver the gifts, but sing holiday carols to those children and nursing home residents. According to Spirit Club advisor David Correll, "South and the holidays are the perfect combination," and really-- who can argue?
