July 23, 2026- In May of 2025, it was announced that High School South pre-vocational SPEAR program had won a grant from Ferguson and Explore the Trades to add HVAC to the curriculum. A year later, representatives from those agencies paid a visit to the school to check in, record interviews, and learn more about students were utilizing the new HVAC Skills Lab funded by the grant.

That visit was developed into a video featuring HD drone footage of the school, and testimonials from a handful of South SPEAR students as well as instructor Tim O'Leary. Check out the finished product here (--->) or on social media.
