March 1, 2024 -- Today, many schools nationwide celebrated Read Across America Day. Each year, the celebration of reading and literacy begins on the March 2nd birthday of Dr. Seuss, which, this year, falls on Saturday.
Here in Toms River, we couldn't wait! On Friday, special guests were welcomed at our schools across the district. They were eager to share their love of reading and their favorite books with students of all ages.
Whether students were read to, or had time during the day for independent reading, it was obvious that our students love a good story!
Be sure to check back for more pictures throughout the day.
