Aug. 5, 2025- When life hands you lemons, you ... GO TO WAR.

And so it was that students in the summer ESY program at Intermediate South— after having read The Lemonade War— had one of their own last week (above). Mr. Steimle and Mrs. Christensen's classes pitted pink lemonade versus yellow, and sampling and voting resulted in pink being named winner. Results notwithstanding, a delicious exercise all around.

But they weren't finished. Today, in line with their ESY peers at West Dover, middle schoolers and high schoolers banded together with staff for an "at the amusement park" theme. The carnival had games (center), a Mister Softee truck out front (left), crafts, mini golf, and general silliness and fun. Check out some additional photos of the ESY summer fun below.
