Sept. 28, 2026- Intermediate East student Jason Chee is a weather buff and storm chaser. Which is why he and his mom were out on the Jersey Shore coastline this weekend surveying the situation. That's when CBS crews — including reporter Christine Sloan (right) — showed up for the station's coverage of the weekend's nor'easter.

"I introduced Jason as a future storm chaser," mom Brooke said, "and she was so sweet and excited for him. They started interviewing him about the weather, and then she handed him the CBS microphone and told him to give his own weather report! He completely lit up."

It was an amazing and unexpected experience for both of them. According to Brooke, her son has been talking about it ever since, and said he couldn't wait to tell his friends and teachers at school. And we'll do you one better, Jason — we'll provide the proof.
