Nov. 10, 2025- In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America in 2026, the Office of First Lady Tammy Murphy, the Drumthwacket Foundation, and RevolutionNJ invited schools across the state to send holiday ornaments to be displayed at Drumthwacket during the holidays.

High School North sophomore Summer Thomas had her ornament, titled "Joshua Huddy and the Toms River Blockhouse Fight," selected to be featured.

These ornaments will be proudly displayed on the holiday trees at Drumthwacket, the historic Governor’s Residence in Princeton, New Jersey, and enjoyed by countless visitors both on official business as well as those exploring the historic mansion via its holiday tour series.

"We're so proud to have Summer's ornament representing High School North at Drumthwacket this holiday season," said HSN Principal Ed Keller.

Read Summer's description of her work, in her own words, below. And congratulations, Summer, on a job well done!
