Sponsors Assist in Student Learning

Toms River Regional Schools’ senior students have been working as interns and apprentices as part of the Community Action Program (CAP) and Cooperative Education Program (CE).

Thanks to sponsors that include the Toms River Police Department, RWJBarnabas Hospital at Community Medical Center, TRRS elementary schools, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office, Café @ 1144, local physical therapy offices, and the Toms River Animal Shelter, students have gained invaluable experience in the professional work environment.

Sponsors assist students year in and year out, assisting with service learning, career exploration, and the development of professional skills. The CAP and CE programs are part of a larger district initiative aimed at career readiness, workforce connections, and authentic student experiences. Additional photos below.
