March 25, 2026- The Life Skills Lunch Club at Intermediate South had the pleasure of welcoming Superintendent Michael Citta for a special visit today —and they made sure to greet him the Seminole way: with gratitude, pride, and a sweet treat.
Students proudly presented homemade Rice Krispies treats to the superintendent and his team as a token of appreciation.
“Welcome to Intermediate South, the best school in the district!” one student shared, while others expressed their thanks for his continued support of the schools and for taking the time to stop by their building.
The visit also highlighted the incredible work of the Life Skills Lunch Club, whose mission centers around community service. As part of their Seminoles in Service initiative, students have been giving back in meaningful ways throughout the year — creating cupcakes for bus drivers, cookies for the Beachwood Police Department, brownies for emergency room staff at Community Hospital, sugar cookies for the Prosecutor’s Office, and chocolate-dipped pretzels for a local assisted living facility.
"This thoughtful gesture for Superintendent Citta was just another example of how our students are learning the value of kindness, gratitude, and service," said Assistant Principal Leigh Madigan. "We are proud of our Life Skills students for representing Intermediate South with such heart and dedication."
