Sept. 28, 2026- High School East teacher Rachel Barry and district BCBA Colleen O'Donnell help facilitate HSE's 18-21 life skills program, which is supported by the YMCA. The YMCA, in turn, receives support from the Wintrode Family Foundation and its namesake, David Wintrode. 

At the end of summer, the YMCA hosted its 2026 Red Triangle Reception, and Barry and O'Donnell were cordially invited. There, according to Barry, "We were able to personally thank David Wintrode for the support the Wintrode Family Foundation has provided our 18-21 program."

The Wintrode Family Foundation has a mission to strengthen Ocean County through philanthropy, collaboration, and community service, and their support of the YMCA of the Jersey Shore specifically has had far-reaching impacts that have positively affected some of the district's most vulnerable students.
